Enyonam Kpeglo Williams

Enyonam’s primary areas of responsibility are business transactions and overseeing the University’s policy and compliance program. She is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP®) who works to ensure UNC Greensboro adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Enyonam also assists in providing litigation support and she advises University departments on intellectual property issues, public safety, research matters, and governance issues, including those related to the University’s associated entities. She is also the primary supervisor for the law student interns and residents who work in the General Counsel’s office.

Prior to joining the OIIGC in 2019, Enyonam practiced law in the Greensboro area for nearly 13 years where she represented clients in criminal and civil matters. Her civic engagement includes service as vice-chair of the City of Greensboro Board of Adjustment, and she worked as a volunteer lawyer for Legal Aid of North Carolina. Enyonam also received the Greensboro Bar Association’s award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service for handling numerous Legal Aid expunctions. Soon thereafter, she served as Co-Chair of the Greensboro Bar Association’s Second Chance Project, which recruited and trained attorneys to handle pro bono expunctions. She has also served as a Preceptor for Elon Law students and held board positions with the Greensboro Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Guilford County Association of Black Lawyers.

Enyonam earned a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication and a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In law school, she wrote for the First Amendment Law Review, served as a Justice for the Law School Honor Court, and worked in the Center for Civil Rights.
