Enyonam K. Williams became an associate general counsel in February 2022 following service as an assistant general counsel and a one year Law Fellowship in the OIIGC. Prior to joining the OIIGC, Enyonam practiced law in the Greensboro area for more than 12 years where she represented clients in criminal and civil matters.

Enyonam also served as vice-chair of the City of Greensboro Board of Adjustment and worked as a volunteer lawyer for Legal Aid of North Carolina. She received the Greensboro Bar Association’s Pro Bono Award in 2013 for handling numerous expunctions for Legal Aid. Enyonam also served as Co-Chair of the Greensboro Bar Association’s Second Chance Project in 2015, which recruited and trained attorneys to handle pro bono expunctions. She has also served as a Preceptor for Elon Law School’s first year students and served on the board of the Greensboro Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

Enyonam also served two terms as the secretary of the Guilford County Association of Black Lawyers. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication and a Juris Doctor. In law school, she wrote for the First Amendment Law Review and served as a Justice for the Law School Honor Court. She also worked in the Civil Legal Assistance Clinic.
